Privacy Policy
Last updated: 2026-07-30
Couples Confluence (“we”, “us”) is a shared home tracker for couples, operated by JRI (Minnesota, USA). This Privacy Policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.
1. What we collect
Account data. Your name, email address, and (optionally) phone number when you create an account.
Workspace data. Contributions, bills, career entries, notes, and other content you record in the app.
Billing data. Payments are handled by Stripe. We store your Stripe customer ID and subscription status. We do not store card numbers or CVCs.
Technical data. IP address, browser type, and basic logs necessary to operate the service securely.
2. How we use it
- To provide the Couples Confluence service to you and your paired partner.
- To process subscription payments through Stripe.
- To secure the service, prevent abuse, and troubleshoot issues.
- To send you essential service messages (billing, security, account).
We do not sell your personal data and we do not use it to train third-party AI models.
3. Sharing with your partner
When you pair with a partner, the content in your shared workspace is visible to both of you. You control what you enter. If you unpair or delete the workspace, both partners lose access.
4. Service providers
We rely on a small set of trusted providers:
- Lovable Cloud / Supabase — database, authentication, and hosting.
- Stripe — subscription billing and payment processing.
- Cloudflare — content delivery and DNS.
These providers process data on our behalf under their own security and privacy commitments.
5. Data retention
We keep your account and workspace data for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, we delete the associated data within 30 days, except where we're required to keep records for legal, tax, or fraud-prevention reasons.
6. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, and to object to certain processing. Email justin.ranek23@gmail.com to make a request.
7. Security
We use industry-standard measures — encryption in transit (HTTPS), authenticated database access, row-level security policies, and strict access controls — to protect your data. No system is perfect; please use a strong, unique password.
8. Children
Couples Confluence is not intended for anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
9. International transfers
Your data may be stored and processed in countries other than the one you live in. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards (such as Standard Contractual Clauses) with our providers.
10. Changes to this policy
We'll update this policy when our practices change. Material updates will be announced in-app or by email before taking effect.
